The Bayside Brewers Oktoberfest will be held again on the
last Sunday in March
2005. further detail’s will follow, but what we need you to do is to start
thinking about brewing your Bocks!…… its only 8 months away!!!!!
This category will include:
Hellesbock Maibock
Bock Doppelbock
Other categories are:
Festbier: Oktoberfest, Maerzen & Vienna
German Ale: Altbier & Kolsch

The Bayside Brewers was formed in 1992 and has about 20
members.
The club meets 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month
(except January) at various locations throughout Melbourne's
southern bayside suburbs. New members
are always welcome.
We hold bi-monthly club competitionswith
points tallied to decide the recipient of the coveted Brewer
of the Year Trophy. We provide training in beer judging at
the club competitions.
At meetings, you can:
-meet other home brewers
-get involved in
an active brew club
-sample different styles of beer
-talk to other brewers and share information about your brewing
techniques and experience with different recipes
-find out about extract or mash brewing
-learn how to make better beer
Aims of the Bayside Brewers Club
-To enable members to develop their skills as brewers
-Te generate a greater awareness in the gereral community
of the legitimace of home brewing as a craft in which anyone
can participate
-To serve as a focus to defend the interests of home brewers
and their craft
Members receive a monthly newsletter
"The Bayside Brewer" with information about events, competitions,
tips on brewing and where to find good microbrewery beer,
and other beer and brewing related information.
