Our ArtisanAle fresh wort kits are are made in house on a Spiedel 500L Braumeister Brewery. They are especially suited to time poor brewers or those who simply want an excellent beer with a minimum of effort.

DESCRIPTION

A golden, strong, complex Belgian beer packed with estery goodness.

This is a super versatile wort kit. By adding 3 litres of water to produce a Belgian Blonde style you will have a starting gravity of 1.068 and IBU of 25. A Tripel can be made by not diluting with water for a gravity of 1080. Changing the yeast to Wyeast 1388 will approximate a Belgian Strong Ale with no water added. A Dubbel can even be made with a steep of 200g of Best Melanoidin, 200g of Weyermann Cara Aroma and 200g of Best Caramunich 2 in 2 litres of water at 60 to 70 degrees.

There are huge range of yeasts you could use with this Wort Kit.

If using dried yeast we would recommend using 2 packs of Danstar Abbaye, Saf BE-256 or T-58. If liquid, please make sure you get your pitching rates right! Ask us if you’re not sure. 3787 Trappist is the classic but 3522, 1214 and 1762 will produce outstanding beers.
