A Grain and Grape version of a classic English Barley Wine that we anticipate being big and malty with a nice balancing hop bitterness. We recommend conditioning for at least 3 months before drinking. The OG is a hefty 1.084 and we wouldnt expect the FG to go below about 1.026. We recommend using lots of healthy Wyeast 1084 due of its alcohol tolerance, aeration prior to fermentation would also be an advantage.
Approximate cube volume: 16.5L Plus 3L of extra water added.Starting Gravity: 1.097Bitterness: 63 IBU's using Warrior hops Grist make up: 47.5% Simpsons Maris Otter, 47.5% Joe White Traditional Ale, 2.5% Bests Cara Munich 3 and 2.5% Simpson Dark Crystal malt. Late hops: East Kent Goldings
Recommended yeasts: Wyeast 1084 or 2 x Danstar Nottingham
